Geoff Jenkins left the yard and had 2 RBI as the Langley Farm Team outscored
the Columbus Crowd 4 to 3.
Langley started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of the
first as they scored 2 runs on 2 base hits. The highlight belonged to
Jenkins who made the home-town crowd a happy bunch when he popped a two-run
clout over the fence (his 21st of the season). Columbus had a chance to come
back in the 9th but they came up short.
The win was credited to Kevin Millwood(9-9) who went 6 and 1/3 innings
allowing 2 runs. Millwood got relief help from Eddie Guardado who gained
credit for his 12th save. Matt Morris(4-1) ended up with the loss.
